Our Story

The Valley View team is a broad group of volunteers who serve as stewards of this beautiful open land and caretakers of its natural and cultural assets. We are the smiling faces that welcome people to this special place every day.

In 2002, the proposal of large-scale development was the catalyst for a community group to unite around their shared vision to permanently preserve a family farm that includes rivers, streams, wooded hillsides, prairie, streamside and isolated wetlands on a compact walkable site. On April 19th, 2002 Valley View was officially incorporated and the work began in earnest. It took multiple real estate transactions, but against strong political, legal and financial headwinds, Valley View volunteers persevered. The group raised private grants and donations that were leveraged threefold to win competitive state grants. Having raised $4 million, today Valley View owns about 8% of the land in the City of Milford.

In 20 years, we have just scratched the surface of what Valley View can become. The property is nestled inside the I-275 loop, a quick drive for nearly 400,000 Clermont & Hamilton County Residents.
